Benefits of Honey for Skincare

1. The enzymes in honey work to gently exfoliate the skin.

2. Being anti-inflammatory and antibacterial, honey works well as an acne spot treatment.

3. Honey is moisturizing and soothing for the skin! The sugars in honey help the skin retain water to reduce dryness even after it has been washed off.

4. With all the antioxidants in honey, it goes to work on damaged skin and can help fade the appearance of scars.

5. These natural antioxidants are also beneficial for controlling wrinkles and fine lines.

Turmeric is another powerhouse ingredient that's naturally anti-inflammatory and contains antioxidants to help bring out your skin's natural glow. Fair warning: turmeric can stain pretty easily, so be sure to wear a shirt that you don't care too much about when you give this honey turmeric face mask a try!

The caffeine in the coffee grounds helps to "wake up" your skin cells, leaving your skin looking brighter and more energized.

Cinnamon and nutmeg are both quite helpful for acne-prone skin! They're both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, cinnamon works as a drying agent and increases blood flow to the skin while nutmeg goes to work to even out the skin's pigmentation. Combine those properties with the healing benefits of honey, and you've got an amazing DIY acne mask!

Not only is apple cider vinegar a natural skin soother and exfoliator, it can also be used as an all-natural astringent! It'll clean your pores of dirt, oil and grime, leaving your skin feeling smoother.
