For the Rosemary Simple Syrup
1 cup water
8 sprigs of fresh rosemary
For the Grapefruit Rosemary Gin Fizz (makes 1 cocktail)
1-2 ounces gin
3 tablespoons grapefruit juice
1/2 lime, juice
2 tablespoons rosemary simple syrup
2 tablespoons lemon lime soda
Garnish: rosemary sprigs, sliced cucumber
1. Pour water and Madhava Natural Sweeteners Organic Coconut Sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add rosemary sprigs and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside to steep for 15 minutes. Remove rosemary sprigs and store mixture in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
2. Juice your grapefruit and strain juice into an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 1 week. Or use store-bought grapefruit juice.
3. To make one Grapefruit Rosemary Gin Fizz cocktail, combine gin, grapefruit juice, lime juice, sliced cucumber and rosemary simple syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Pour into a glass and top with lemon lime soda. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and sliced cucumber. Enjoy!
