Foolproof Honey Ginger Cedar Plank Salmon

Grilled salmon is one of those recipes that never goes out of style. Whether you're looking for a quick-and-easy weeknight family dinner, or a dinner party recipe to please a crowd, this cedar plank salmon recipe is sure to be a hit. It's a simple, elegant technique that's so easy, it's practically foolproof! When you place the fish on a soaked cedar plank, it gently steams in the heat of the grill, staying perfectly tender and moist. You'll get smoky flavors from the grill and woodsy flavors from the cedar, which pairs perfectly with this honey ginger marinade. Oh, and it's MUCH easier to clean your grill after you're done cooking!

You can find cedar planks in most grocery stores with a well-stocked grilling section, or your local hardware store. Simply soak the cedar plank in water for a few hours or overnight, and you're good to go! If you're cooking for a crowd, be sure to find a cedar plank that's large enough to fit your whole side of salmon to grill at once.

For this cedar plank salmon recipe, all you'll need to do is season the salmon with fresh ginger, freshly squeezed lemon juice, garlic and black pepper, then place on the grill. Next, whip up the honey ginger glaze and brush it on your salmon in the last few minutes of cooking. That's it! We love this Honey Ginger Cedar Plank Salmon recipe served with a side of grilled corn-on-the-cob or a homemade avocado salsa with in-season peaches.

This recipe is great any night of the week, and the leftovers are perfect for lunch the next day – just toss some flaked salmon with greens and your favorite toppings, and a delicious, nutritious lunch is ready to enjoy.
